Bishop Kenneth Bernard Spears, a native of Fort Worth, Texas has served as pastor of the First Saint John Missionary Baptist Church since 1995. Bishop Spears is joined in ministry by his lovely wife, Angela, and their two sons, Kenneth and Kyle.

Bishop Spears answered his call to ministry in 1981 at the age of 17, while a student in the Fort Worth public school system. As a college student, he enrolled at Bishop College in Dallas, Texas and United Theological Seminary in Texarkana, Texas. He then proceeded to earn a bachelor degree and master degree from Survine Theological College in Denver, Colorado. Years later he was awarded an honorary Doctorate Degree from Louisiana Baptist University in Shreveport , Louisania for his service to the community.

Under his anointed leadership, church membership had increased from 300 in 1995 to more than 4,400 today. Currently, First Saint John has two locations and has more than 50 outreach ministries. His Be Restored ministry is aired weekly in several states touching the lives of thousands for the Kingdom.

After becoming affiliated with the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship in 2000, Bishop Spears served as District Overseer. In 2004 Bishop Spears was appointed to the office of State Overseer for North Texas. In 2005 he was consecrated to the office of Bishop. As State Bishop, he presently serves North Texas for the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship.

Bishop Spears' leadership and vision is evident not only through his ministry but also through his commitment to the community. He has received numerous awards and recognitions for his community involvement and leadership.
